PAC 150 BOOK ‘Meet The Author’ Event
November 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Venue: PAC’s Prince Philip Theatre.
Following the release of PAC’s pictorial history book ‘PAC 150 Years’, which was specially commissioned to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the College, we have pleasure in inviting you to join us for an informative evening that will expand upon the journey taken in compiling this milestone publication.
Author of the book, and PAC Old Scholar, Mr Rob Linn will provide a personal perspective of the challenges in researching, writing and publishing a book with such an important historical emphasis.
Rob Linn taught Australian and South Australian history at the University of Adelaide and at other tertiary institutions. Rob won the inaugural Lysbeth Cohen Memorial Prize for Biography for his Nature’s Pilgrim at the National Book Council’s 1990 Banjo awards. He was also a prize-winner in the ABC Bicentennial Literary Awards, Manning Clark Award, for his work A Diverse Land: a history of the Lower Murray, Lakes and Coorong. His Bungaree: Land Stock & People won the Family History of the Year Award in 1993, was highly commended for the Alexander Henderson Award, and was shortlisted for the inaugural Christina Smith Community History Award.
This literary soiree will enable attendees who have already purchased their copy to bring it along and have it personally signed by the author.
Books and Sesquicentenary Memorabilia will also be available for purchase on the night.
